I’ve been nominated for the Blogger Appreciation Award by Mental Health @ Home. Thank you so much for recognizing my blog and me with this honor! If you haven’t checked out her blog, now is a great time to do so! What I love about her is her raw honesty, and her unique perspective on mental illness because she’s on both sides of the issue: a patient, as well as a mental health professional.

Something positive about me: Because of depression, and, I think, the relationship with my mother, I’ve adopted a negative view of my self. Now, I’m doing something about it! Meditation has been a part of my self-care since March 2017. Currently, I’m doing guided meditations on self-acceptance and self-love. They haven’t fully “taken” yet, and I know that I have a long road ahead, but I know that with continued practice, and the repetition of positive affirmations, that my self-view will change.
