Be honest!

See simple, right?

This week’s questions

  1. Do you take a vacation during the summer months? If so, what amount of time do you travel (days, weeks)? During the summer we usually take one or two, just for a few days each, like maybe a long weekend, to a place that’s only a 2- or 3-hour drive away. The rest of the year we might take road trips and/or fly to various destinations.
  2. Do you meet up with family or friends at the destination? During the summer and at Christmas we usually meet up with my in-laws. When we go to Las Vegas, we see my family.
  3. What has been your favorite destination spot? Savannah, Georgia
  4. What has been your worst traveling experience? Omg. Pull up a chair. So one summer, we traveled to central Illinois to stay at a bed & breakfast. They provided us with dinner when we arrived (B&Bs usually only serve breakfast), and to our surprise, they sat down with us! They were eating, too, but it was weird because none of the innkeepers in the other B&Bs we’ve stayed at never did that! Then at some point during the meal, the wife started talking to us about God and Jesus and whatnot. And we were like ????? I mean, it’s fine if you’re a Christian, but please don’t push your beliefs on me. We checked out early.
  5. If you do not travel each summer, what do you do to escape your reality? n/a

The Topic Today Is – The Silliest Questions

\Would you rather have hot fudge or chocolate sauce on your hot fudge sundae? I prefer chocolate sauce on my hot fudge sundaes, but I suppose then it would be a chocolate sundae.

Was the cat in the hat, or was he wearing it? I’ve read the book, and I’m pretty sure he’s wearing it.

If you were on Scooby-Doo, would you rather be Daphne or Velma, and why? While Daphne is the “pretty” one, she isn’t the smartest. I think I would take smarts over looks any day. So, Velma. Plus she has a cute outfit.

Where do you go when you say you’ll be right back? To the bathroom.

How long will you ‘really’ be gone, when you say you’ll be right back? No more than 5 minutes.

A minute? Nope.

An hour? No.

A day? Definitely not.

Infinity time? Doubtful.

Never ever come back? Not that either.

Why do you say  – “I’ll, be right back”, instead of “I’ll be left back?” There is no left back, but there is a left tackle.

How many pairs of socks do you own that don’t have mates? All of my socks have partners. Besides, if there are some without partners I would get rid of them so I would still have socks with partners in my drawer.

If you owned a time machine, would you go backward in time or forward?  And, why? Backward, so I could hopefully “correct” my mistakes.

Have you ever just looked at someone and thought to yourself, “They actually thought to themselves… ‘Oh, I look good today.’ and left the house looking as if they just got out of the bed? No, I have never thought that. Well…maybe.

Why does the watch not tell us time? But it does tell us time.

What is the name of the colour of unripe bananas? Plantain green.

Do you take your dog for a walk or does it takes you for a walk? Hahaha! Some days it definitely feels like my dog is taking me for a walk.

What happens when you get scared half to death – TWICE? Well, since you’ve already used up half of your fear, you would be left with no more fear.

Where is one place you are guaranteed to be left alone? The bathroom. Once the door is shut, it’s shut.

If ALL the world’s a stage, where does the audience sit? Wherever they’d like, because they’re both actor and audience since all the world’s a stage.

Provide three nonsensical quotes on being silly!

If people did not sometimes do silly things, nothing intelligent would ever get done. –Ludwig Wittgenstein

You don’t get old being stupid –Chili Davis

Don’t be afraid to look silly. –Tara Strong

Provide 2 truly silly musical videos!

A serious question now …… exactly, did you think the same? No, I thought different.

Why did Sally sell seashells on the seashore when you can just pick them up anyway? Because she has a license to sell them, and you need a special permit to “just pick them up”!

This is a famous bit of gibberish, however …. “How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?” He would chuck enough wood to keep the fireplace well-stocked for the winter.

How much wood did the wood chuck chuck, answers in equal amounts of gibbering jibberish please? What?

Who on earth is? I don’t think it’s a who so much as a what.

Week #5  Prompts:

(Note this week’s suggestion came from Sophienaylor1 of “Girl vs. World” brought up eating disorders which by all means is a subject worth bringing more attention to.  However, I’m going to break this into (2) separate questions for Prompt #1).

Prompt #1  (Questions)

Question #1  If an eating disorder isn’t about food or weight, what is it all about?  And, what has it done to you personally?

I think it’s all about the person’s insecurities, about how they feel about themselves, which is probably pretty down through no fault of their own, a lot of self-esteem issues. I don’t have an eating disorder, though I do occasionally binge (no purge), my relationship with food is complicated. Sure it’s for nourishment, but I also use it to feed my emotions, good or bad.

Question #2  What is the most difficult thing to handle with your disorder?  (This applies to everyone).

As I said, I don’t have an eating disorder. I’m currently learning not to eat depending on my emotions, like if I’m bored, sad, happy, mad, etc., but it’s hard. I’m so used to having something to soothe me when I’m not feeling right.

The Topic Today Is – General Wotnuts

What does it mean when someone says “What is a silly question?” “Will you call me?” because most people text these days lol!

What would be the better pet? A unicorn or Pegasus? Pegasus

Why? Because he has wings and can fly!

Why Y and Why is Y where it is, and why is Y called just Y and not Why? It’s Y because it’s the penultimate letter of the alphabet, which is where it is. Y is called Y and not Why because Why is a question.

Would you if offered the choice of knowing or not knowing the day you die and how take it? I would choose not to know. If I chose not to know, I would be living fearfully for the rest of my life. For example, I might be on a rollercoaster one day, on which it is possible to die — I would wonder if that moment was my time.

Which is worse in your eyes, smacked in the face or smacked on the behind? Smacked in the face because you could become disfigured, whereas being smacked on the behind wouldn’t hurt as much because there’s a lot more cushion back there.

Given the choice of creating a totally new ice cream or a totally new fruit what would you pick? ICE CREAMMMM!!

What would you create for either one of the above answers and what would it taste like and what would you call it? Vanilla ice cream with chocolate-covered pretzels and a swirl of fudge! It’s called the Pret-swirl! Hahahaha!!

Uh oh – you have two choices, to eat something alive and wriggling and squirming or something that’s been dead awhile and is rotting? This is a tough. Eating something rotten will likely give you food poisoning, but something alive, wriggling, and squirming no less, might go down easier. So the live one.

What is your favourite non popular smell? Patchouli.

61 minutes and counting down is ALL you have to creatively get rid of a body in the middle of the supermarket …. mm … how are you going to achieve that? I would remove all of the meat from the meat case, and then stuff the body inside. Then I would cover it with the meat that I took out.

I am not sure about garden gnomes they kind of look a bit shifty to me, what about you? Gnomes that are set in gardens haphazardly, are creepy. You never know when one will pop up (unless you know the garden very well). We have one gnome that sits on the flower box year around. The flower box has been empty for years, and neither of us has a green thumb (like the neighbors). Still, the gnome stands there through the snow of winter and the rain of spring. Our gnome is not creepy.

What is your most favoute unusual noise? The sound of billiards balls clacking against one another?

What are five of the most commonly stolen items from the office? Pens, paper, paper clips, binder clips, staplers.

Do you have a secret talent or skill that you don’t get to use very much? Yes, I play the drums.

If I gave you 40,000 of your own currency to start a business, what kind of business would you start? I would start a no-kill animal shelter in order to rescue the animals that are slated to be euthanized, and hopefully find homes for them.

What is your favorite board game and why? Sorry! Because it’s easy — doesn’t have a lot of rules, and quick.

Name two things that can cause friction between people?. Sandpaper and a nail file. Although a nail file is a type of sandpaper.

Are you afraid of the dark? Of the pitch black, yes, like where there’s no moon and stars, or even the light from an alarm clock. I don’t like being unable to see my arms and legs if I move them around.

If not the above, what are you afraid of?

Create 3 silly questions of your own? 1) Would you rather have hot fudge or chocolate sauce on your hot fudge sundae? 2) Was the cat in the hat, or was he wearing it? 3) If you were on Scooby-Doo, would you rather be Daphne or Velma, and why?

If asked a question you only partially knew the answer to in a group of intellectuals would you answer it with a serious face and bluff or would you decline to answer the question? I would bluff.

What’s missing from this line up? A drink.

Why does A lead to B and not N or Z, and answer this question from your gut not your conventional learning? A leads to B because they are next to each other in the alphabet. A does not lead directly to N or Z because neither of the 2 are anywhere near A.

So You Know

. . . was created by Candace of Revenge of  Eve. Each week, she will pose questions for us to answer.

From Candace (only the answers in italics are mine): This week’s questions will be a round of lighthearted questions because who really wants to think? Not this chick (Y’all should hear my chicken cawl – no really)!!

Never participated in S.Y.K? Alright then…here are the loose guidelines:

  1. Publish a post on your website/blog answering today’s questions OR drop your answers in the comment section below.
  2. Create a pingback to this weeks edition. Don’t know how? Hit me up through my Chat menu. I’ll tell ya how. It’s easy.
  3. Be honest.
    • Do you like creamer with your tea or coffee? no, I drink both black
    • What year were you born? 1969
    • What things would you never pair together (clothes, objects, colors..)? plaid and polka dots
    • Does color represent certain beliefs/ideas for you? red and purple remind me of the Catholic Church
    • If someone is getting on your nerves, how do you handle it? Be honest. If possible, I would walk away. If not possible, I would set boundaries. If they break those boundaries, then I’d politely tell them that I need to leave.
