Question Fun Directory

Welcome to Question Fun The Twice Weekly Game!

An easy game, and more so if you love questions!  Each game has a topic, and then there are 19 questions relating to the topic – they can be visual, musical, personal, professional, topical, serious, thought provoking, fun, weird and even wacky – the questions will cover all fields and there is no structure to follow, so it could orderly one day and completely random the next time you play!

Today’s topic is ………….. Conversation Starters

How much did the polar bear weigh? Half a ton.

What was the last funniest film you saw on the big screen? The Upside. It wasn’t totally-rolling-on the ground-laughing funny though, but that’s the last funny movie I’ve seen.

What do you think of tattoos – do you have any? I love them! I have 3, and I’m thinking of getting another. Or two. I have to admit though that I have one I regret. I’ve considered getting it covered up but because of the nature of the design, it would be difficult to do. It looks fine — I get compliments, but it just spells “mistake” to me.

If you are wasting time, what is your best way to achieve this with 100% success? Stay in bed.

If every time you walked into a crowded room a piece of personal intro music played, what would yours be? [Provide a link please] “The Imperial March (Darth Vader’s Theme)”

Who is your favourite  celebrity? [Why?] Carrie Fisher, because I’m a HUGE Star Wars fan, and because I love her portrayal of Princess Leia. And also because she was such an advocate for mental illness, and bipolar and in particular.

Are you an organised person or live by the chaotic theory? Fairly organized. Or more like barely organized.

What are 6 annoying habits other people have? In no particular order: snoring loudly; clipping nails on the train; not picking up their dog’s poop; not using turn signals; parking in the middle of the alley and blocking everyone else’s way; and lingering in front of my building chatting with neighbors when it’s known that my dog hates the lingerer’s dog (Bella and her dad!), and that my dog barks nonstop until the lingerer walks away.

What time do you normally retire for the night to sleep? Between 10 and midnight.

When was the last time you pulled an all nighter? I can’t remember exactly, but it has to be within the last few years during a bout of insomnia.

When you go out, what is the one thing you simply cannot leave home without? My phone.

Physical books or Ebooks which is your personal favourite to read and own? I used to LOVE physical books; I loved the covers, the weight. Then we started running out of book shelves, so I started buying Ebooks, which fit in one little tablet!

During a number two trip to the toilet, how long are you in there for? About 5 minutes. I do not want to be there longer than I have to — especially if it’s a public toilet. And I use the public toilet only if I can’t hold it long enough for me to get home.

What was the most interesting news story you have seen this week? This happened this past Friday: At least 12 dead after disgruntled employee opens fire at Virginia Beach municipal center. Very grim.

Why was it interesting? This is interesting in a bad way. There have been, as I write this, 148 mass shootings in 2019, and the year is only halfway over.

Where was the worst place you have ever been stuck for longer than an hour? I’ve been stuck someplace (the salon) for over an hour, but I wouldn’t call it the “worst place,” except that it’s the only time I had to wait that long anywhere so I guess it’s the worst!

If you were going to change your name, what would your new name be? Annie.

What is the silliest fear you have? That people that I newly meet (in person) think I’m weird. On the one hand, I am weird, fu@k you very much; but on the other, I don’t need it pointed out to me.
